A rain jacket with a waist seam and a flared hem.

Giselle is a rain jacket that does not look like one. A seam at the waist lets the hem flare in a peplum shape, so it works over a dress as well as over jeans. The shell is water-resistant, the hood is attached, and the full zip and two deep pockets make it practical for the walk to work.

Fabric and care

Polyester and nylon. Machine wash cool and hang to dry. Do not tumble dry, to protect the coating.

Fit

Shaped at the waist, flaring below it.

How to wear it

  • Over jeans and boots on a wet day
  • Over a midi dress for a drizzly commute
  • Over a knit and trousers with the hood up

Zip it fully and put the hood up for heavier rain, or wear it open when the sky clears. The flare at the hem leaves room over a skirt or a dress.

Good for

Rainy commutes, travel and spring or fall days.
